Patricia Asmar is an esthetician who knows the secret to glowing skin. She believes every woman has it, it’s just a matter of uncovering it.

I found Patricia a year and a half ago after meeting a number of women, who shared the same striking feature — beautiful, glowing skin. It turned out their secret was Patricia. I made an appointment—immediately — and quickly joined the ranks of the devoted. Patricia is the founder of The Facial Room Skincare Inc. the online store for Eminence Canada carrying the complete Eminence line.
I caught up with Patricia recently where she shared her philosophy for glowing skin.
Cheryl: You are an AMAZING esthetician! I am oh-so-grateful to have found you! Your signature is the natural beauty and glowing skin you uncover in all your clients – all ages! How do you coax it out of skin that’s over 50?
PATRICIA: Skin like everything else needs more care as we age. Glowing skin radiates health. Many factors go into creating beautiful luscious skin. Healthy skin starts with lifestyle, clean eating, plenty of water, fresh oxygen, regular facials and natural organic skincare.
Cheryl: I LOVE Eminence what makes it different?
PATRICIA: As pioneers of the organic movement since 1958, Eminence combines more than half a century of herbal craftsmanship and innovation with Hungarian inspired healing to offer proven treatments. “It’s so exciting, still to this day, to see my client’s skin transform in an hour.
I feel once a woman discovers Eminence, the search is over. It is so overwhelming to go to a department store and navigate through the maze of glass jars filled with white expensive creams not knowing what sales person to believe or next breaking news magic age defying ingredient to look for.”
Cheryl: How does it work?
PATRICIA: Skin is simply an organ that needs nutrition to grow healthy cells. Skin is often malnourished; since it is not a vital organ your body will use the nutrition to feed your heart, brain, liver and kidneys first. Eminence is a potent food grade product made from cold pressed fruit vegetables herbs spices and flowers to feed your skin from the outside – in.
Cheryl: When women are in their 50′ what do they especially need to focus on? What can they do at home?
PATRICIA: Estrogen is the number one thing that stimulates collagen. As estrogen production slows down so does the production of collagen. Using phyto estrogen based products are an effective way to stimulate collagen right at the source. Eminence Eight greens line is a powerhouse of organic phytoestrogens to lift facial contours and treat the signs of aging from collagen loss. Just like a beautiful diamond, over the years it can lose its luster. Exfoliation is key. Polishing the skin a little every day will speed up the cell turnover, refine the pores and soften the skin. It also prepares the skin to absorb nourishing oils serums and moisturizers. Which leads to my third recommendation –oil, oil and more oil! Oil concentrates work well on mature skin which naturally starts to slow the natural production of oils to lubricants the skin.
Cheryl: What is the most beautiful thing about women 50+?
PATRICIA: I love the energy woman in their 50’s generate. There’s a calm, assured quality I sense. I also notice woman in their 50+ years really own who they are, a real confidence shows through.
Cheryl: Five things women can do to feel/be more beautiful?
PATRICIA: I believe a woman should always remember her sensual sexy side! Wax, wear makeup, have hot oil baths, buy pretty underwear, pamper yourself .. And do this for – yourself.
Cheryl: If women 50+ could do one thing to improve their skin and appreciate their beauty what would you tell them to do?
PATRICIA: Breathe! Oxygenate your skin by staying active. This will naturally detoxify your skin bring fresh blood to all the little capillaries and bring a glow to your cheeks.
Smile often! Instantly lifts your skin your spirits!

I particularly enjoyed this addition because where I have a manicure they carry this Eminence brand yet I have never been introduced to it nor have I been explained the benefits and qualities of it. Today was a real eye opener! Haha. I do use high quality products on my face but the more information the better. I think it’s so important that we hear over and over again the things that we know we should be doing but we are not doing. It is called the knowing doing gap. And to be reminded to drink WATER all day.
Thanks for very much Cheryl for sharing!
