Part 1 of 5
The first on stop on the itinerary for Life Part 2 is Passion.
It’s a warm place, it burns from the heart…so pack light.
P.A.S.S.I.O.N.S
Do you know what yours are? If you said no, you’re not alone. A recent survey showed that 75% of us don’t. Clearly we have some uncovering to do.
Passions are what we love. They fuel our hearts and spirits.
When engaged in them we soar to new heights of joy, happiness and fulfillment.
There we are of the greatest service to the world and others.
Being able to identify our passions inspires, excites and reminds us what is truly important to us in our lives.
“Passion is a very personal experience,” writes Janet Bray Attwood and Chris Attwood authors of The Passion Test. “When you do what you love, what you are truly passionate about, your life will be irresistibly pulled in directions you can’t even begin to imagine.”
Oh boy….I LOVE surprises so knowing there are opportunities available to me beyond anything I can imagine is all I need to get busy identifying my passions!
I’ve done some digging and found several approaches to uncovering passion. It’s more than one blog post so I’ll offer it up all next week. I hope we will all leave this first destination knowing our core passions. Next trip we can start learning how to live them.
If you’re like me insight dawns when you’re least expecting it.
“Good one…I’ll remember that,” I say to self. Right. Thinking I’m actually going to remember a momentary stroke of brilliance is crazy/futile/ridiculous/not-going-to-happen. Note to self: have notebook/pen close by to capture ideas/images as they come to mind.
reACTION [to change in the response to stimulus]: Ask Oprah
First I went to Oprah – she always asks the big questions and of course uncovering passion had been on her list. Check out this to begin.
It’s a great exercise to get things started.
