Red Shoe TV – Step 4 – How to IMAGINE
Welcome to Red Shoe TV and Step 4 on the path to (re)discovering yourself and creating a life you love in Life 2.0.
How did you feel last week as you worked Step 3 and uncovered things that made You happy? Playful? Uplifted? Joyful? Like-a-kid? Did you have a sense of your heart opening?
There’s more of those feelings this week.
Because…….
…you’re going to use your imagination. Uh-huh. For years you told your kids to use theirs to dream, solve problems, see the possibilities….right?
Now it’s Your turn.
Do you know what most adults use their imaginations for?
To worry and to create worst case scenarios.
(sobering moment)
That changes right now with Step 4 and a new word I’d like to encourage you to add to your vocabulary.
IMAGINATE
IMAGINATE [transitive verb] – to harness the power of the imagination to create the future.
Ok… so it’s a made up word. But a GOOD one!
This weeks ‘work’ is just plain FUN.
a) Think about all those things you uncovered last week that make you happy.
b) Then kick your imagination into high gear.
c) Get out a pen and paper and write 10 ways you could touch each one of those this week.
Go wild with this. No editing allowed and no listening to that little voice in your head that says things like this…..“are you crazy?” “don’t write that down” “you can’t do that” ” that’s ridiculous”.
This week the sky’s the limit.
Get all your ideas down.
It feels good to IMAGINATE because it gets you out of your head and into your heart where anything is possible and fear is disabled.
That’s all you have to do this week.
IMAGINATE and go wild with your thoughts and ideas.
So…………..What are you waiting for?
Remember what Albert Einstein said…
“Imagination is everything. It’s the preview of life’s coming attractions.”
